This one had a lot going on. Old shingles completely stripped down to bare decking, a flat roof section that needed seal coating, and all of it tied together into one clean finished product. That's exactly the kind of job we thrive on - not just swapping out shingles, but handling the full picture of what a roof actually needs.

We went with Malarkey Highlander shingles on the pitched sections. These are a serious step up from builder-grade material. They're built for performance, they carry solid warranty coverage, and the dimensional look they give a finished roof is hard to beat. We don't cut corners on product selection because the shingles are only as good as everything underneath them.

Speaking of underneath - the underlayment stage is one of the most important parts of any shingle reroof and one of the most overlooked. We use Reliabilt underlayment, laid clean and tight across the full deck before a single shingle goes down. All penetrations - pipe boots, vents, everything - get properly flashed and sealed at that stage. That's what separates a roof that lasts from one that gives you problems in a few years.

The flat roof section got a full seal coat applied. Flat roofs are a different animal than pitched roofs. They sit and collect heat, they don't shed water the way a slope does, and they need the right protective coating to stay watertight over time. The seal coat we applied gives that surface a fresh layer of protection and helps with heat reflection - which matters a lot in a hot desert climate like this.

From stripped decking to finished shingles and a sealed flat section - this is what a complete reroof looks like when it's done properly. Every step done in order, every detail handled before moving to the next phase. That's just how we work.
