Here's what we were working with - a tile roof that had clearly been pushed past its limit. Cracked mortar, broken tiles, and degraded underlayment underneath. The kind of stuff that doesn't show up on the street but causes real problems when rain or monsoon weather hits. A patch job wasn't going to cut it here.

We pulled everything off and started fresh. Every tile came off so we could properly assess the deck and lay down a True 40 double-layer felt system - a premium underlayment that gives the roof a serious upgrade in protection compared to the standard single-layer setups most roofers default to. In critical areas, we went a step further and added peel and stick membrane for extra waterproofing where it counts most.

The battens went down clean, tiles were staged on the roof in organized rows, and everything was set before reinstallation began. There's a method to this - sorting and staging tiles up top makes the reset faster and more accurate. That kind of prep work is what separates a solid reroof from a sloppy one.

The finished roof speaks for itself. Clean, uniform tile lines from ridge to eave, with the whole system built on a foundation that will actually hold up. This home also had solar panels on one side, so working around existing penetrations cleanly was part of the job too - nothing got rushed or ignored to make it easier on us.

A tile reroof done right is an investment that protects everything underneath it for decades. If your tile roof is showing its age - whether that's cracked tiles, failing mortar, or just a system that's gotten old - this is exactly the kind of work we do.
